Patchouli Soap

amazon stars Based on 4 Reviews

Although patchouli is not loved by all of us, it's one of those miracle oils that just seems to be good for everything.

Let's first start with its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to calm skin. Now because this soap is a scrub, quite a heavy duty one at that, it's great for removing dirt and heavy stains on hands.

Known for it's intense earthy smell, patchouli is a insect repellant and can be a great addition to a camping trip. If bitten by an insect be sure to shower with our patchouli soap for an almost instant relief from itching and irritation. Patchouli works to calm the skin. Our patchouli soap resembles a dark woody yet earthy scent and the sandalwood chips are an added bonus making this scent full.

Patchouli's aromatherapy properties include the ability to uplift the mood and calm the mind. If you don't already know, patchouli is also an aphrodisiac hence one of the reasons why it was so popular in the 60's and 70's

Dealing with dry cracked skin

We have formulated this soap to especially help with cracked dry skin. There are two key ingredients that are addressing this, Patchouli and Shea Butter. Shea butter has this incredible ability to heal skin, it provides the skin with extra moisture as it restores the skin's elasticity and hydrolipidic film further assisting with dry thirsty skin.

Patchouli has been prized for being able to heal cracked skin as well. Furthermore it can address conditions such as feet fungus and athletes foot. Cracked skin can be a sign of many things such as frequent hot showering, dry temperatures such as winter or extreme heat. Also, harsh chemicals that are stripping the body's natural oils will result in cracked skin. If you are using any alcohol containing products, this can have an instant negative impact on your skin.

Yup! They didn't lie; definitely formulated to exfoliate. I guess if I only used this to sand down the bottoms of my feet, it would be ok. Otherwise, it is a bit too aggressive for me. Scent is mild; perhaps too mild. However, I can smell it if I put my nose to the bar. This soap also seems to dry out my skin. I didn't really care for it.

This soap makes our hands feel very soft. The sandalwood chips work perfectly for an extra scrub on messy 5 year old hands ;)
